Welcome to Young Peoples Community Center
The YPCC will be holding the 1st annual spring splash craft fair being held Saturday, April 24th 2010 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The event is sponsored by the "Friends of the Ebensburg Pool" Committee and will have arts/crafts by area crafters, mystery balloon raffle, homemade foods, chinese auction, fun and games for the kids, and delicious baked goods!!! This weekend kicked off the start to the winter basketball leagues which will continue through April. Schedules are posted here at the YPCC and can be picked up any time during our office hours. We will be posting the schedules online here in the immediate future. For an update on scores check out our page on facebook!!
The YPCC Iddy Biddy Basketball program has been going on since January and we have had a great turnout. The Start Smart program teaches children ages 3 to 5 the basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball and focuses on dribbling/ball handling, passing/catching, and shoot/running. The program is being taught by Brandon Rudolph (left) and Freddie McCabe (right). The 6 week program will wrap up the first week in March.

At the same time, it is more difficult to find the time in today’s fast-paced society to focus on your physical fitness and wellness. Regular exercise, proper nutrition, stress management and other good lifestyle habits are more important to you now than ever before. In efforts to promote a healthier lifestyle for the community, the Young Peoples Community Center and Ebensburg Borough has begun a new health and wellness program.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Saturday 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. Sunday 12:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Monthly Gym Membership Fees:

Purchase a 3 month membership and receive a key fob where you will have access to use the facility 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Ask a staff member for details.

($10 for each additional student)
Start Smart Sports Development Programs One of our most popular programs, Start Smart teaches children (ages 3-5) the basic motor skills necessary to play organized sports while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents’ sport specific skills by introducing and practicing the fundamentals of each sport without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Held once a week for 6 weeks, each week the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement.
